Petr Blažek is a Czech historian who works as a research fellow at the Institute for the Study of Totalitarian Regimes. Since 2023 he has been the director of the Twentieth Century Memorial Museum. He is the main author of texts on Jan Palach’s website and the historical exhibition of the Jan Palach Memorial in Všetaty. He was also a consultant for feature and documentary films such as The Burning Bush and The Message of Jan Palach.
