Evelyn Conlon has published four novels, four collections of short stories, and a compilation of essays titled Reading Rites. She has also edited five anthologies. She is adjunct professor at Carlow University, Pittsburgh. She was a member of Irishwomen United and a founding member of the Dublin Rape Crisis Centre.
