James Gacek is an associate professor in the Department of Justice Studies at the University of Regina, Saskatchewan. Among his recent publications are Portable Prisons: Electronic Monitoring and the Creation of Carceral Territory and, coedited with Richard Jochelson, Justice in the Age of Agnosis: Socio-Legal Explorations of Denial, Deception, and Doubt.
