Jan Mieszkowski is the Reginald F. Arragon Professor of German and Humanities at Reed College. He is the author of Crises of the Sentence, also published by the University of Chicago Press, Watching War, and Labors of Imagination: Aesthetics and Political Economy from Kant to Althusser.
