Jimmy Packham is a senior lecturer in English Literature at the University of Birmingham. He is the author of Gothic Utterance: Voice, Speech, and Death in the American Gothic and Coastal Gothic, 1719–2020 and the coeditor of Our Haunted Shores: Tales from the Coasts of the British Isles.
